UAE coverage

UAE complexity deserves more than a regional label.

Nomoy is being built to distinguish selected federal, DIFC, ADGM and regulatory contexts—without pretending one source set answers every UAE legal question.

Built from the UAE outward

Jurisdiction is part of the answer.

A UAE matter may turn on federal legislation, emirate-level process, a financial free-zone framework, a sector regulator, the language of the source and the date on which it applied. Nomoy’s coverage model starts by making those boundaries explicit.

01

Separate frameworks

Do not blend federal, DIFC and ADGM authorities into one undifferentiated answer.

02

Show source status

Keep authority, version and effective-date context available for review.

03

Scope honestly

Define what is and is not inside the source set before the pilot begins.

The first jurisdiction framework

Distinct legal contexts, kept distinct.

These are focus areas for scoped source sets—not a claim of complete coverage across every law, judgment, regulator or free zone.

01

UAE federal

Selected federal legislation, official guidance and other authoritative materials relevant to the defined workflow.

Scope may vary by legal question, document type, regulator, effective period and source availability.
02

DIFC

Selected DIFC laws, regulations, rules and court materials where the matter’s governing law, forum or business context requires them.

DIFC material is kept separate from UAE onshore law unless a qualified analysis requires the relationship to be considered.
03

ADGM

Selected ADGM laws, regulations, rules and court materials for matters and workflows in the ADGM framework.

ADGM material is treated as its own source context, with availability and status confirmed during pilot scoping.

What a source register should show

Coverage is a record, not a slogan.

A pilot source register should make category, use, status and scope visible before an output is relied on.

Coverage method

Five checks before a source enters the workflow.

The details vary by pilot, but the discipline should remain the same.

01

Define the legal context

Confirm the jurisdiction, forum, regulator, time period, document language and question to be answered.

02

Identify the authoritative source

Prefer primary and official material where available, while distinguishing secondary guidance and internal knowledge.

03

Verify status and scope

Record the source type, version, effective date, coverage limitation and any known supersession issue.

04

Keep the citation path

Retain the document, provision, page or passage needed for a professional to inspect the support.

05

Review continuously

Assign ownership for source updates and treat changed or incomplete coverage as a visible workflow issue.

Coverage is always bounded.

Nomoy does not claim complete UAE or GCC legal and regulatory coverage. Every pilot should document the selected jurisdictions, source categories, languages, effective period and known gaps.

UAE coverage FAQ

Know the limits before using the answer.

Does Nomoy cover all UAE law?+

No. Nomoy scopes selected sources and jurisdictions for each pilot. Complete UAE or GCC legal and regulatory coverage is not claimed.

Can a pilot include UAE federal, DIFC and ADGM materials?+

A pilot may include selected UAE federal, DIFC and ADGM materials where relevant and available. The exact source set is confirmed during scoping.

Does Nomoy support Arabic legal sources?+

Broader Arabic and bilingual source handling is a development direction. Initial pilot workflows focus on English-language documents and should confirm language support explicitly.

How are changes in law handled?+

Source ownership, review cadence, versioning and effective-date requirements should be defined for the relevant pilot. The public website does not imply automatic comprehensive updating.
